NNPC and SNEPCo Sponsor Free Medical Outreach in Partnership with Kolmarg Eyesight Foundation in Issele-Uku, Delta State

Residents of Issele-Uku in Anochia North local government area of Delta State benefited from free medical services during a five-day outreach sponsored by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), in collaboration with the Kolmarg Eyesight Foundation. The programme, held from 17th to 21st November 2025, recorded an impressive turnout, with more than 1,700 patients receiving various forms of medical care.

The outreach provided a mix of general healthcare services and specialized eye-care support. Hundreds of participants were treated for eye conditions such as refractive errors, cataract, and pterygium. Beneficiaries also received free reading glasses, while others underwent cataract and pterygium surgeries performed by a team of medical specialists.
Representatives of Kolmarg Eyesight Foundation noted that the intervention aligns with ongoing efforts to reduce avoidable blindness and expand access to quality healthcare in underserved communities. Many of the patients, they said, had lived with untreated conditions due to financial limitations and the absence of specialized medical services in the area.
Residents described the outreach as highly impactful and expressed appreciation to NNPC and SNEPCo for supporting an initiative that has brought much-needed medical relief to families who might otherwise have continued to struggle without treatment.
Organisers reaffirmed their commitment to extending similar medical programmes to other communities across Nigeria as part of their mission to improve public health and enhance the quality of life for vulnerable populations.
