Renaissance Africa Energy Company and Partners Deliver Free Medical Outreach in Bayelsa State

The Renaissance Africa Energy Company (RAEC) and its Joint Venture Partners (JVP), in collaboration with the Bayelsa State Ministry of Health and the Kolmarg Eyesight Foundation, successfully carried out a 10-day free medical outreach across three communities in Bayelsa State – Kolokuma/Opokuma, Gbaran/Ekepitama, and Epie-Atissa.

The outreach, which ran from 6th to 17th May 2025, provided residents with access to both general healthcare services and specialized eye care interventions. Thousands of people benefitted from consultations, treatments, and surgeries during the program.

Key achievements of the outreach include: 6,693 patients received medical consultations and treatment, 255 surgeries successfully performed (including cataract, pterygium, and other procedures), 1,270 prescription glasses distributed to improve vision, and 801 essential medications dispensed free of charge.

This initiative underscores the commitment of RAEC and its Joint Venture Partners to promoting community health and well-being by addressing critical medical needs, reducing preventable illnesses, and improving the quality of life in Bayelsa State.
